Through collaboration we emphasise an integrated approach for our clients, both public and private, utilising services including , strategic planning, master planning, urban design,  strategic communications, landscape architecture and development services.

We recognise that our creative talents alone, without solid application and industry relationships, cannot achieve success.  Rather by combining the strength of both our design culture and planning insight, we can optimise our client offerings to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Our people are passionate about improving the quality of both the living and built environment through this dual approach, regardless of a project’s requirements or size.  Utilising our understanding of the local community aspirations, and drawing on international expertise we deliver superior planning, policy, design, and built outcomes.

Strategic Planning

Through a high level process we create coherent regulative frameworks around planning and design. Partnering with government authorities we set the future direction for localities. Transitioning from the creation of a broad vision to the drafting of prescriptive codes, strategic planning is a proactive planning mechanism that guides greenfield development, revitalisation and renewal around localities. In-depth analysis and research contributes to this evidence based approach, which ensures outcomes are realistic, viable and can be implemented.

Master Planning

We create functional, inspiring and sustainable communities using live-ability as our focus. We consider all strategic influences as well as how a sense of community can be encouraged in concept design phases, and use this baseline to inform detailed spatial layout of infrastructure networks. Master planning can provide development yield calculations, built form design guidelines, development staging plans, landscape architecture design and is often used as our statutory mechanism for further development applications to government assessment authorities.

Urban Design

The design, quality and vibrancy of our cities and towns, and the role each plays in enabling urban social interaction, is one of our specialist areas of expertise. ‘Sense of place’, ‘place-making’ and robustness are key drivers of our urban design approach, working in conjunction with other uses that in turn activate those spaces. We analyse and plan urban form, form layout, fabric and grain to connectivity and movement patterns. We visualise and strategize development over time; creating the places we live, play, connect, work, learn, and rest in.

Strategic Communications

Our inhouse communications strategists have one simple point of difference – we don’t work in isolation from the project team, we work with them.
Our strategic communications team works alongside our planners and designers to demystify planning and design speak to create a clear connection with communities and stakeholders, via written and graphic communication and consultation techniques. Ultimately we work together to find better ways to communicate great projects.

Landscape Architecture

Landscape architecture performs an important role to create sustainable, resourceful, cost-effective, and socially responsible solutions. Reflected in our proactive approach we develop project strategies that embed local distinctiveness and character into thriving and sustainable public spaces. The way that people use spaces and interact with places determines our team’s creative response, where we look to find design solutions that reinforce entry points, provide pedestrian amenity, shade, create safe public environments, and incorporate water sensitive elements.

Development Services

Bringing together experience and knowledge from local, to state and federal government legislations and statutory requirements, we offer a full range of development services. We manage our client’s planning risk which extends from purchase and due diligence of properties and development sites, development facilitation and approvals, through to post approval compliance and plan sealing services. Our team has the skill and expertise to deliver large land subdivisions through to highrise apartment and office towers, aged care, shopping centres and education facilities.
