Frog Park at Baringa, Aura, celebrates the Wallum Sedge Frog and the particular landscape and plant characteristics found in the habitat environments of this threatened species. Adjacent to the environmental protection zone and natural and enhanced frog habitat areas, a fundamental objective of the park design was to integrate environmental and frog educational elements with bespoke play elements and parkland recreational amenities.

The playground showcases a variety of frog and frog habitat themed play equipment and structures; a large custom designed rubber frog with “frog legs” slides, water lilies rocker and swing are great for toddlers and young children, whilst a custom grass blade parkour climbing obstacle system challenges the older children and young teens. The vertical green posts mimic the form of the upright sedges, or “perch” species that are critical to the Wallum Sedge Frog survival.
