Challenged by the prospect of developing a group of largely unrelated development sites constrained by wetlands, wader bird habitats, highly reactive soils, unstable marine clay, mangroves, significant water quality and management issues, together with the inherent problems associated with canal and golf course development adjacent National and Marine Parks, Place Design Group went about developing a blue print for QM Properties to ‘re-master’ Pacific Harbour and plot a new course for the project. Pacific Harbour was awarded the 2007 UDIA National award for Excellence in Residential Subdivision, as well as the 2007 Queensland Master Builders Association award for Best Sports Facility, 6th Best Public Access Course by Golf Australia in 2007 and the Prime Ministers Award for Excellence in 2006.
