RESIDENTIAL
This benchmark brown field residential development is located at Potts Hill, Birrong in New South Wales, on the side of a hill adjacent to the historic Potts Hill water storage reservoir, supplying potable water to Sydney’s south eastern suburbs.
The site itself provided many challenges, but also design opportunities, in the way of design and delivery of streetscape treatments, incorporation of Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) initiatives, entry signage, public art integration, parks and open space, playground design, civic spaces and retention of endangered woodland and forest communities.
Place Design Group were commissioned by Landcom to undertake the landscape master plan and were responsible for delivering the concept master plan to DA submission. Our services were then extended to provide the delivery of the DA stages right through to completion. Working closely with the developer and consultant team, Place Design Group were able to incorporate innovative and practical solutions within the site to become multi-functional recreational spaces, featuring sustainable design principles.
