We’re on the lookout for a seasoned, people-focused Town Planner to join our growing team. If you’re passionate about creating thoughtful, community-driven outcomes and know the ins and outs of QLD planning legislation, we want to hear from you.

 

In this role, you’ll be a key player in shaping the future of local and regional developments across SEQ. You’ll be responsible for managing client relationships, coordinating projects from start to finish, and delivering meaningful outcomes—on time and on budget.

The areas you will work across will include:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Leading and coordinating project teams across varied planning assignments
  • Preparing and lodging development applications
  • Undertaking planning assessments and site investigations and analysing QLD legislation and planning frameworks
  • Contributing to business growth through the preparation of tenders, proposals, and submissions

 

 

Essential Experience + Attributes

We welcome applicants at emerging and senior stages to apply for this role. The right candidate will bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in in Town Planning or Urban Planning
  • 4-8 years of industry experience, ideally in Brisbane or the broader SEQ region
  • Strong knowledge of the Planning Act and DA rules and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive, motivated mindset with the ability to work independently and within a team

 

 

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience in regional planning or working with local councils
  • An established professional network in the SEQ development industry
  • Confidence in mentoring junior staff and contributing to team development
  • Previous experience in private consultancy or multi-disciplinary teams
