BRISBANE    |   FULL TIME

If you thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy taking ownership and value relationships and contribution through communication —this role is for you.

The Communications and BID Manager role centres on driving strategic leadership, coordination and implementation of key actions for the business across opportunity and bid management and strategic business communications.

As part of this function, the role is responsible for the organisation’s content knowledge – overseeing key components of content library and utilising this to shape strategic business communications across the submissions, marketing and BD space.  You will manage the submission process across the business to drive greater efficiency and improvement of our practices in this space.

Working in collaboration with our leadership team you will craft compelling narratives for strategic and high-value pitches, curating award strategies and submissions, and external industry engagement through leadership profiling content. The role demands strong and connected communication, with a focus on collaboration and working across a multi-disciplinary environment to build and develop influential relationships (internally and externally).

A key focus on collaboration and partnership with both our technical discipline teams and operational staff to ensure opportunity and communication efforts are streamlined and fit for purpose is essential.  Some domestic travel may be required from time to time to support delivery of strategic outcomes.

What You’ll Do:

  • Strategic Submission Input – work with directors to support the development of key strategic submissions to elevate the narrative and key value considerations for the associated client
  • Tender Management and Reporting – overseeing company tender workflows including portal management, tender allocation and setup, tender and pipeline reporting
  • Proactive Pitch Strategy – work with directors to coordinate proactive pitches to key clients (i.e. Olympics OR major project pitching)
  • Award Strategy and Development – working with the Marketing Coordinator, develop and write the award strategy in line with client opportunities
  • Collaborative Leadership: Work with multi-disciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing. Facilitation connections across the business to capture and amplify client and project opportunities.
  • Marketing Communications – oversee company level marketing communications, working with the Marketing Coordinator and approved brand strategy. You will curate our organisational content knowledge library and utilise this to develop strategic client focused communications across online and print media
