Stephen Smith joins Place Design Group’s Brisbane team. A leading professional recognised nationally and in the United Kingdom, Stephen boasts a valuable, cross-disciplinary combination of master planning, urban design and strategic planning skill sets. For over 20 years, Stephen has built a rich suite of experience in statutory planning work for both the public and private sectors.
With Regional Development a particular area of focus, Stephen has been engaged in a broad range of projects ranging from city centre public realm guidelines, structure planning of large growth areas, preparation of planning scheme policies and guidelines for centres and infill development and the development of building typologies.
Recent examples of Stephen’s work include the Bulimba Barracks Master Plan, The Ferny Grove/Upper Kedron Neighbourhood Plan, Fig Tree Creek Catchment Master Plan, The Cooee Bay Sports Complex Mater Plan, the Brisbane Valley Protein Precinct Master Plan as well as facilitating a number of precinct planning workshops for the Brisbane Metro project.
