Place Design Group celebrates the incredible success of two projects at the Planning Institute of Australia’s Awards for Planning Excellence Gala Dinner last Friday.
The Maroochydore City Centre project, developed in partnership with Walker Corporation, Sunshine Coast Council, and SunCentral Maroochydore, was awarded for Strategic Planning Excellence. This transformative masterplan showcases a visionary approach to city-making within an established area, harnessing public and private sector collaboration to redefine the region’s urban landscape.
The Mackay Waterfront Riverside Revitalisation Project also received a commendation in Community Wellbeing & Diversity, led by Mackay Regional Council and Justine Goddard, with Aurecon. This project exemplifies how thoughtful design can elevate community spaces and foster connectivity.
