Place Design Group were successful at the Planning Institute of Australia NSW Awards, receiving two accolades for Planning Excellence: the Climate Change & Resilience Award and a commendation in the Strategic Planning category.
These recognitions highlight our Mid Richmond Place Plans project, developed in partnership with Richmond Valley Council and the NSW Reconstruction Authority, with support from Meridian Urban and Broad Property Research & Advisory.
Amid significant climate challenges, particularly in coastal and riverine landscapes, Richmond Valley Council seized the opportunity to create place-specific, resilient plans. Our approach integrates strategic planning and urban design, translating community visions and objectives into clear, adaptable spatial outcomes that honour local history and the cultural significance of the Bundjalung land.
