Era

Formerly a poultry farm, Era is now a 21-hectare master planned residential community located in Capalaba, South East Queensland.

Place Design Group was commissioned by client Heritage Pacific, and then ultimately Villa World to provide services including the initial site procurement design and approval strategy, and to facilitate the development approvals. Our scope evolved to ultimately include environmental services, and full landscape architecture services.

Assisting from project creation to completion, our team successfully negotiated appropriate land uses and outcomes to convert this rural farm into housing that was sensitive to the environmental values of the site, and exceeding client expectations.

The project pioneered a new generation of ‘small lot’ housing within the Redlands and significant time was taken to work with Council on an approval and design framework to allow for smaller lots without triggering further approvals for the ultimate housing.
