Ferny Grove Central involves the renewal of the Ferny Grove Train Station, reflecting a best practice example of a functioning Transit Orientated Development (TOD).
Place Design Group were engaged by, Honeycombes Property Group Pty Ltd, to facilitate the statutory planning and landscape design approvals. This involved working closely with TTM Consulting to resolve complex constraints over the subject site and ensure integration with the existing transportation networks.
The proposed development will provide a benchmark for exceptional subtropical design through the provision of generous public and outdoor spaces, roof terraces, shaded walkable streets, and thoughtful street layouts, replacing what has essentially been an open commuter car park for a long period of time. The mixed-use development will contribute to the revitalisation of Ferny Grove, providing new residential accommodation, dining and shopping, recreational facilities, childcare, gym facilities, and improved public access to the Ferny Grove Train Station and Bus Interchange.
