Qasr Al Wadi

Perched on a hillside, this palace reflects both purity and elegance through the use of contemporary and traditional Moroccan design.  Place Design Group was commissioned on the project as the site master planners and full service landscape architects. The unique architecture of the project, whereby the palace was cantilevered over the valley, enabled our team to explore the possibilities of a near-vertical, steeply sloped site. The design incorporates a roof garden which envelopes the palace, while terraces at various levels form breakout spaces. The landscape largely consists of native grasses, harvested from the surrounding valley, and designed to provide year round visual interest through the foliar texture and floral colour.
