The revitalisation of this iconic Gold Coast beach front has made future assets more valuable given the international profile of the foreshore.
PUBLIC REALM
Place Design Group was commissioned to provide landscape design, streetscape works and operational approvals. Improvements addressed beachfront access and foreshore landscape values.
The works increased carrying capacity of the foreshore area in this intensely urbanised beachside tourist location, and have improved safety via environmental crime prevention design (CPTED) principles.
Place Design Group also prepared relevant application documentation to support required legislative approvals, collaborating with City of Gold Coast officers and the Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM). The implementation of works has enhanced the natural beauty and iconic character of an area that is uniquely Gold Coast.
