We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Visual Designer to bring their own style and creativity to make an impact on meaningful, real-world projects – like Brisbane Waterfront, Rivermakers Brisbane, UNSW Sydney, and Aura Sunshine Coast. 

This role supports in leading the Visual Design team, playing a key role in strategy, development and delivery of visual communication outcomes across the business and projects. As a senior member of the Visual Design Team, you will work collaboratively across all phases of the project alongside a diverse team of planners, landscape architects, and urban designers.

About the Role

Day to day, you will:

• Develop visual communication and collateral outcomes with our marketing team to elevate the Place Design Group brand
• Deliver place branding, publication design, motion design and video editing, digital outcomes, and illustrative mapping to signage and wayfinding
• Support brand systems including style guidelines, design and proposal templates, asset libraries, and tools that support consistent implementation across the business
• Translate technical information into user-friendly diagrams, infographics, iconography and dynamic visual outputs
• Collaborate with our multi-disciplinary teams across all offices to ensure alignment of all visual outputs
• Deliver strategic visual storytelling that aligns with project objectives and ensures a unified brand experience across projects
• Ensure quality, consistency, and brand alignment across all project deliverables and communication materials, providing guidance and feedback to junior team members

What We’re Looking For

The right candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual design, communications or a similar field
• A portfolio showcasing creative, strategic, and brand design and development experience at a senior level
• Several years’ experience in a visual or brand design role
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop are essential)
• Experience creating designs for both print and digital platforms
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and mentor designers
• The ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and with clients
• Full working rights in Australia (citizen, PR, or valid full-time visa)
