Our team have led the planning and design of city-shaping projects including HOTA, Walker Breakwater, Pimpama Sports Hub, Southport Yacht Club, Surf Lakes Yeppoon, and the Port of Gladstone. Are you passionate about planning and looking to make your mark? This is the role for you!

 

This is a role for a full-time, experienced Town Planner, who will be responsible for the development of client relationships and project management, delivering on time and on budget to achieve successful, people-driven outcomes.  The role will have a diverse approach, working across local and regional projects.  You will have a focus on client management, project delivery and analysis of legislations, in addition to preparation and lodgement of applications. Coupled with this technical capability, you will have great communication skills, strong level of self-motivation and local knowledge.

 

The areas you will work across will include:

  • Development of Strong Client Relationships
  • Project management and team coordination
  • Preparation of development applications
  • Undertaking planning assessment, investigation and analysis of QLD legislation, guidelines, and related documentation for a range of project types
  • Preparation of tenders, proposals and submissions

 

 

Essential Experience + Attributes:

  • Tertiary qualification in town planning
  • Min. 6 year’s industry experience
  • Local Gold Coast (or SEQ) planning and development knowledge
  • Experience with Development Assessment timeframes and processes, under the Planning Act 2016 as well as other relevant legislation
  • Project management experience
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and within a team
  • Australian resident
