Place Design Group COVID-19 Action Update

As we continue to enter new waters in the face of COVID-19, Place Design Group is focused on ensuring the safety and protection of our teams, clients, industry partners and friends.  With 50% of our teams in China we experienced the initial impacts of COVID-19 early.  We are extremely gratefully to our teams there that worked tirelessly to implement and monitor safety measures and ensure the ongoing support of our clients to continue to achieve great project outcomes.

As we continue to monitor our teams in China, we are also implementing similar practices throughout Australia to create the safest environment possible for our teams here.  As a result, we have taken the following proactive steps:

  • Suspension of international travel from 4th March
  • Suspension of event and conference attendance from 13th March
  • Implementation of new IT gateways to enable organisation wide work-from-home capability from 12th March
  • Suspension of domestic travel (flights) from 16th March

We are assessing the situation now daily and will continue to implement travel restrictions and alternative work plans as per our company’s Business Continuity Plan as required. We are working with our teams on project scenarios in the event of office closures or project disruption.  All project managers will be in direct contact with our valued clients and partners with any possible changes and updates as they occur.

Whilst these are challenging times, we have been incredibly proud of our teams that have turned these into renewed opportunities to further communication through mobile, network and video conferencing.   Their dedication to maintaining the health and safety for all, whilst also supporting our clients to continue to achieve great outcomes has been exemplary.

We would like to also thank you for your continued support and understanding.  From these situations often rise incredible responses, innovation and resilience.

We are dedicated to ensuring the ongoing safety of our teams and look forward to working through this situation with you all in the coming months ahead.
