Initial project engagement progressed into a more detailed level of planning design work, ultimately delivering greater value for residents.
Fitzgibbon Chase is a 10 hectare residential land development site located in Brisbane, Queensland.
Place Design Group was commissioned by the Urban Land Development Authority/EDQ to provide the open space planning and landscape architecture work.
Initially the team worked to simply delineate open space areas against competing land development issues, however the project progressed with more detailed required including recreation trail planning, bushfire management plan; and ultimately a well-designed combination of public parklands; conservation areas and streetscapes. In addition, the project involved close and successful consultation with Brisbane City Council stakeholders to ensure consistency with local government expectation.
