Place Design Group assisted in obtaining an approval for an extension to a four storey character dwelling on a steep sloping site in the inner city suburb of Windsor, Brisbane

A large four storey dwelling at a premium hilltop location in inner city Brisbane, this project involved the extension of the character bungalow dwelling, which was built in 1922 to resemble a ship. The extensions were approved to the side and rear of the dwelling and included large expansive decks, enjoying panoramic views across Brisbane city.
Engaged by the client to facilitate the statutory planning approvals, the process involved extensive negotiation and resolution of complex technical issues, with the team navigating the building’s height and the site’s steep topography to successfully obtain the required development approvals.
