Located in Rochedale, Queensland, Goodman’s Rochedale Motorway Estate is one of Brisbane’s newest industrial precincts that provides access to South-East Queensland via established and well-connected major-connected major road networks.
As the final stage in the development, Place Design Group gained town planning approval for two warehouses with a combined GFA of 35,796m2 at the Rochedale location. The intent is that the warehouse will be occupied by distribution or logistics type businesses. With evolving trends in the industry, the development will operate 24/7, representative of the increases in shift work and advancement in technology for industrial activities such as automation.
Place Design Group were also able to achieve a performance-based solution for car parking. Working closely with Goodman and Bitizos Consulting, a reduced car parking rate was achieved which enables the efficient development of limited industrial land within the Brisbane local government area.
