Sir Bani Yas Island

Sir Bani Yas Island is predominantly a wildlife park where various species of Arabian fauna which had been on the endangered and vulnerable list have been successfully bred and exported to depleted regions of the UAE.

The Island also accommodates a five star hotel, two palaces and a planted forest of over a million trees.

Place Design Group were engaged to design, document and manage the landscape construction of two boutique resorts, a conference centre and a water sports centre.

The unique characters of each of the settings for these four projects were strengthened with the use of appropriate landscape elements. Integration with the coastal environment of AL Yamm was achieved by keeping a respectful distance from these sensitive areas yet creating a strong visual and physical link with the use of coastal plantings decks and boardwalks.
