Groves Christian College Prep Play Space

Place Design Group was engaged by Groves Christian College to create a new play space for Prep students. This play space was developed as stage three of the Groves Christian College campus revitalisation.

In collaboration with Groves Christian College, we developed a detailed project brief, outlining the educational objectives and space requirements. The brief highlighted the necessity of creating a space that:

• Was engaging for students
• Enhances student well-being by integrating natural elements that reduce stress.
• Provide opportunities for nature play throughout.
• Provide a variety of seating and gathering opportunities throughout to cater for large or small groups of students.

This framework was critical in shaping the final design, ensuring the outdoor play space was not only engaging and aesthetically pleasing but also full of natural character and aligned with the school’s values.
