An imaginative fusion of play, sport and recreation, the colourful Pedal Park promotes an active, healthy lifestyle in the City of Colour, Aura.
The first park to be delivered as part of the new Aura, City of Colour development, Pedal Park celebrates Stockland’s core value of fostering an active, healthy city and their commitment to providing extensive bike paths and facilities for active recreation.
Pedal Park, themed around cycling, features a “learn to ride” bike circuit, along which, young riders encounter a range of different terrain including a tunnel, timber bridge and crossings over a dry creek bed, speed humps, traffic lights, road signage and much more. The bike track encircles a central playground, featuring slides, swings, see-saw and, a 7.5m tall cube tower climbing structure that stands atop a 2m mound; the colourful landmark can be seen throughout the neighbourhood.
Celebrating and promoting sport and active recreation for residents, the team also designed a netball and basketball court combination allowing for simultaneous game play. Custom designed picnic shelters and bike racks, park furniture, BBQ and amenities support park users.
