Sovereign Hills Town Centre is a 2.5 hectare, $100 million-dollar site in the scenic hinterland of the regional city of Port Macquarie.

Place Design Group was engaged to create a new master planned community between the coast and the country that meets the highest standards of design quality, while providing affordable housing options, civic spaces and significant retail and entertainment offerings.

Our team worked closely with the Buchan Group (Architects) and the client to realise a vision that included a significant local identity and strong sense of place. A sequence of vibrant public spaces were delivered through a connecting town centre spine, incorporating extensive public art works and entry statements at key locations. Stage 1 of the development includes a regional supermarket offering, car parking, outdoor dining options and split-level plaza spaces.
