MASTER PLANNING
Forming part of the larger Springfield Town Centre, The Exchange is the result of a master planning vision process for a strategic 26ha precinct.
The precinct forms an important infill development opportunity that will comprise of a mixed-use core and commercial office expanding the existing city centre to a broader range of small and medium enterprise businesses.
While the master plan focused on understanding ultimate development capacity against relevant planning controls, a large part of the urban design team’s work explored the evolutionary nature of urban spaces over time supporting interim and first generation uses before demand fully matures.
