The University of Queensland engaged Place Design Group to deliver a Placemaking and Landscape Strategy document to provide a comprehensive guide to the future landscape and placemaking works across the St Lucia campus.

Divided into distinct landscape character precincts, each with unique planting and material palettes, the character gradually transitions from premium amenity at the campus’ elevated heart, to a more locally indigenous planting character along the Brisbane River’s edge.

Place Design Group’s ability to synthesise the wide-ranging and disparate data from university master plans and policies, combined with our strengths in articulating complex information, delivered a focused and realistic set of guidelines that will enable the client to achieve their strategic objectives and ensure cohesive campus development.
