The nature play area was conceived as a place that will enable children and young people to engage with and learn about the natural environment, by offering users a range of activities and opportunities they would not typically experience in metropolitan areas. The nature playground was inspired by its riparian forest surrounds and features bespoke iron bark timber structures, a zerodepth water ‘play creek’ with an interactive sand/ water play map, a ‘tree shower’, sandstone climbing blocks and nesting boxes for native fauna.
