Jessica has worked in the landscape industry for over 20 years with a focus on drafting and technical support. Jessica has gained experience working on a range of government, commercial and residential projects in North Queensland, Fiji and China. Jessica’s role as Senior Landscape Technician extends to assisting all aspects of project management as well as maintaining quality control across all project deliverables. Jessica is proficient in all graphics software packages including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Office and Adobe Suite. Jessica’s role is critical in the production of landscape analysis documentation, conceptual and presentation material, and construction documentation.
Kenneth is a Registered Landscape Architect with over ten years’ experience with both local Government and private practice. His design documentation and graphical presentation skillset is supported by his strong technical knowledge which includes AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, Photoshop and InDesign. It is this multifaceted skillset that has seen him work on a variety of projects including residential communities, commercial centres, resort developments, recreational spaces and hospital schemes. Kenneth’s strengths include detailed design, construction documentation & site review / contract administration. Kenneth’s technical strengths combined with attention to detail and the desire to make spaces into places, generates a positive focus on creating vibrant residential and public spaces.
Ling has extensive experience in landscape design for residential communities and commercial projects and joined our Shanghai Office as Project Manager in 2012. Working through all stages of a project she has been able to work with our clients and other consultants to deliver great outcomes collaboratively.
Ling has particular interest in how design interacts with the natural and architectural environment and is great at adding vitality and visual interest to projects through quality detailing. She is well versed in detailed design and takes a proactive attitude to work with clients, pushing them and herself to achieve the best built outcomes.
With over four years of public and private sector town planning experience, Loic has gained a reputation as a hardworking, dedicated individual who excels the expectations of clients. Loic is highly experienced in Development Application preparation and lodgement, and has a great working knowledge of relevant statutory documents used in councils across Queensland. His current role allows him to foster strong, multi-disciplinary stakeholder relationships whilst continually seeking to challenge and evolve his skills and experience as a town planning professional.
With over 14 years’ industry experience as a graphic communications professional and project manager, Louise has worked within built form and strategic projects across Queensland, Australia and international sectors. Her professional experience demonstrates a diversity of skills from the creative direction of graphic communications, strategic design thinking, branding for place identity and project management of creative projects.
Louise is responsible for setting the graphics strategy and providing guidance across design, wayfinding, 3D visualisation and digital innovation projects across all facets of the business. Underpinned by a cross-disciplinary collaborative approach, she is able to combine content and strategic briefs into compelling, creative and high-quality deliverables that push boundaries.
Louise leads with a high level of expertise by approaching communications design and creative strategy as an integrated process, to positively communicate to community in order to create people focused outcomes.
With a cross-disciplined design background encompassing graphic design, information design, spatial design, user experience, marketing and communications. Maddy’s experience and skillset allows her to approach project briefs with a unique perspective and understanding.
Maddy is a talented and highly skilled design professional having worked on projects ranging from mural design for commercial restaurants and health clinics, to illustrative graphics for the public realm. With strong and refined visual communication skills, website and app design, illustration, data visualisation, animation, mural and experience design, Maddy can produce high-quality pieces which appeal and communicate clearly and effectively to the public eye.
Mal brings a wealth of knowledge and economic insight into Australia’s housing and property market with over 30 years’ experience in the property, economic development, and professional services consulting sectors. A highly regarded economist, Mal is a regular speaker and commentator on housing and property market topics for the property industry.
Mathieu is a Graduate of Landscape Architecture from Mauritius Island. With a year and a half experience in landscape construction and maintenance, he developed an understanding on how landscapes are built and cared for, which are valuable aspects in the initial design stages.
Michael is an enthusiastic Landscape Architect and Urban Designer with 20 years of industry experience who draws inspiration from his local and international experience, personal interests in design, art, travel, technology and a general passion for doing something well the first time. Combining his keen eye for detail with the ability to work across different project scales, Michael thrives on balancing client, community and environmental goals to achieve the best outcome. Fortunate to have worked on a large range of projects on both an international and local scale, Michael brings an unparalleled wealth of knowledge and expertise across all phases of project deliverables.
Mina has five years experience working as an Urban Designer and Architect both in Sydney and Iran. She is a motivated member of the Urban Design team with interest in delivering equitable Urban Design, Public Domain, Masterplanning and Infrastructure design solutions. Mina is passionate about making positive changes into people’s lives by creating unique and inclusive places for everyone to live and enjoy. Her architectural background, coupled with her knowledge in NSW planning system allow her to draw unique viewpoints on projects.
Miranda enjoys coordinating with clients and consultants to achieve better outcomes collaboratively. Project management studies contribute to her systems-thinking approach and contract administration skills, and a background in visual arts and graphic design is evident in her conceptual design and careful documentation. Active transport and nature play are a vital part of Miranda’s work-life balance, continually feeding her inspiration and plant knowledge. Miranda’s experience spans concept to construction across various project types including public realm, education, aged care, commercial, and residential communities.
As a dedicated member of our Statutory Planning team, Nick has a range of experience in the public and private sectors, having facilitated a range of complex development approvals throughout Queensland and New South Wales. With over 16 years’ experience, Nick has a comprehensive, technical knowledge of the planning industry and current legislation, which enables him to deliver considered and strategic advice to all clients and achieve successful outcomes on development applications. With a strong interest in the Planning and Environment Court arena, Nick represents both clients and Local Government as an expert witness for planning matters within Brisbane. Having strong working relationships with Council officers has proved invaluable in negotiating development approvals for his private sector clients. Nick confidently manages projects from inception to approval to ensure a seamless and fast-tracked assessment for his clients.
Pasquale is a Graduate Landscape Architect who recently completed his studies at Queensland University of Technology. He has a passion for large scale ecological planning, social and environmental justice, and sustainable design. He believes Landscape Architects have the potential to be the balancers of human and non-human environments, helping solve the social and environmental challenges of our time. He has previously worked in film and television since 2008, working primarily as a broadcast director, camera operator and editor. He looks forward to merging his passions of design and media.
Peter has over nine years of experience as a Landscape Architect, designing a variety of projects ranging from small to large scale. His vast experience has allowed him to incorporate his 3D modelling skills into the commercial, residential, hotel and public realms to create unique visualisations for each space.
Randi completed her Bachelor Degree in Landscape Architecture (Honours) at UNSW in 2021. She is a highly skilled designer with two years of local experience delivering a diverse portfolio of design projects across Australia. Project experience includes industrial, commercial and residential development. Randi has been involved in all phases of a project from concept design to implementation. She believes that every single project is a unique opportunity to redefine and enhance the urban environment. She is passionate about and always focused on the relationship between the community and landscape design, wanting to provide a sustainable landscape for all people to be able to use.
Rebecca is a landscape architect with four years of professional experience working within government and private sector including design & build contract, landscape consultancy, tree survey and compensation service. With a passion for urban design and sustainability, Rebecca has strong interest to design for the community with the purpose of reconnecting people with place and injecting dynamics into the built environment. She has highly developed skills in master planning, concept design and development, documentation and preparation of presentation material.
A Graduate Landscape Architect from the Queensland University of Technology, Ritchie is an environmentalist, passionate about using nature-based solutions to solve our climate challenges. Ritchie believes equal environmental thinking and landscape architecture ethics are the keys to solving many current global issues on behalf of the future generation.
Ritchie has a strong interest in resilience design and landscape urbanism. Throughout his university studies, he engaged with Architecture Associations on multiple global study opportunities, including GIS analysis of Tijuana River pollution and Architecture curation in the Venice Biennale. He also developed strong graphic and modelling skills, allowing him to express his design ideas authentically.
A senior urban designer with over seven years’ experience in projects across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. She has experience in delivering urban design services and outputs for a broad range of public and private projects including residential communities, master plans, place strategies and town revitalisation projects. She has been involved in master planning projects including town centres and public realm, botanic gardens, parklands, showgrounds and entertainment precincts.
Sam strives to create innovative and inclusive spaces that positively impact the lives of the people that inhabit them. Sam believes it is important to design creative spaces that evoke emotion, create experiences and inspire us as individuals. She has a core interest in master planning, community engagement processes, urban renewal and placemaking. She is hardworking and efficient, with an outstanding commitment to quality outcomes in all her projects. She strives for excellence in everything she puts her mind to.
Sasha has 10 years combined professional experience across Landscape Architecture, Urban Design and Planning working on a diverse range of projects for both public and private clients. She has skills in both small and large-sale projects, with experience working in both Melbourne and South-East Queensland. She has a passion for strategic master planning, designing and building authentic spaces that the community can connect with and take ownership of. Since moving to Brisbane, Sasha has had a significant involvement on a number of new community projects including Harmony, Oceanside/Kawana and Flagstone. She has also had exposure to a variety of strategic multi-disciplinary projects.
As a result of her varied experience, Sasha has the ability and versatility to work on projects at any stage of development, from the inception all the way to construction.
Sophie has been with Place Design Group since 2010. Her experience is broad spanning commercial, public space and with a particular focus on detailed residential community design. Sophie is intimately involved in projects from concept to detailed design and works closely with our teams in both Australia and China to ensure quality outcomes.
Sophie relocated to our Brisbane office in 2017 and contributes to projects in China and Australia. Living in Australia has allowed Sophie to further her interests in how people interact between the built environment and nature by combining elements of Western design thinking with her deep understanding of the best of Chinese design.
After graduating from the University of Adelaide, Stella spent the first two years of her career in Adelaide and then relocated to Queensland to expand her professional experience. In the past several years, Stella has been involved in a variety of project designs across Australia. Her primary technical strengths are sketchup, CAD drafting and 3D modelling skills which allow her to achieve the best possible outcome in a project. Stella is passionate about commercial projects that integrate buildings with the public realm and the natural environment. She is dedicated to creating sustainable designs that draw inspiration from nature as well as connect people with nature.
Tho is a Landscape Architect who is passionate about regenerating the urban matrix with green useable spaces. Tho’s background and interest in visual arts and environmental issues plays a significant role in her conceptual approach to her design and analysis. She is knowledgeable in horticulture specific for South East Queensland and has experience in documenting various project types including public realm, education, water sensitive urban design, commercial and residential communities. Tho has a flare with digital and traditional visualisations which has contributed to her extensive skills and knowledge for both 2D and 3D programs. This allows her to communicate a variety of ideas across those platforms effectively.
Tim is an experienced landscape architect and project manager working on a wide variety of projects from master planning, open space, recreation, infrastructure and mixed-use developments both locally and nationally.
Tim has strong experience at all stages of the project process from concept design to construction documentation and project management. Passionate about designing spaces for the community, he focuses on outcomes that will not only benefit the users today but also for years to come.
As Senior Associate, his role requires high quality design outcomes, effective communication skills and team management. Collaboration is key to his design ethos and encourages team resolution and decision making for all stages of the design process to ensure the best outcome for clients and the future users of the space.
Tony has worked on a broad range of project types and scales, from multi-stage urban development sites to public parks and private residential projects. He has worked in multidisciplinary practices for 15 years and has a good working relationship with these sister professions of urban design and architecture and appreciates the necessity of coordination and collaboration through the design process. From his experience with carpentry, furniture making and property maintenance, Tony has a strong understanding of construction processes which assists in design documentation, detailing and specification compilation. Tony’s significant experience resolving on site issues and developing good relationships and communication with project contractors has refined his ability to produce high quality landscape construction documentation packages.
Valentina has worked in the landscape architectural profession for over three years on a variety of projects in Queensland as well as overseas. She brings an international understanding to the team and approaches every project with a creative and multidisciplinary view point.
Valentina has a passion for adaptive reuse, sustainable design and permaculture. Having a background as an architect, with a big passion for heritage architecture and history, has helped her to develope an even bigger sense of respect for the world. Valentina’s creative inspirations carry over into landscape designs, weaving and blending concepts into beautiful outcomes. She intrinsically develops palettes that synthesize natural process from multiple environments to produce layered textured, and scalable landscape designs.
